Ergonomics and design

Visual strategy is the unique way each person uses their visual system to observe, track, and focus on elements in their environment. This strategy depends on factors such as gaze position, eye movements, coordination between eyes, head, and neck, and the most used viewing distances in their lifestyle.
Understanding and analyzing the visual strategy allows for designing personalized lenses that perfectly match individual visual needs, enhancing both comfort and visual quality.
Mimetika Design is a design technology that allows us to customize lenses according to each user’s unique way of looking, based on their visual strategy. This allows us to respect their unique natural way of looking and facilitate adaptation.
VS Design is a design technology that enables us to customize lenses by considering the results of visual strategy analysis from thousands of users. This design optimization is done for each of the 3 viewing areas.

It is the technology that defines the optimal progression of the progressive lens in an integrated manner according to the user’s visual needs, from the ideal starting point of the progression to the near-vision zone, as well as the progression gradient, providing a smooth visual experience at all distances.

Binocular Balance technology seeks to balance power and astigmatism binocularly for each gaze position and across the entire lens surface.

Inset is the decentration of the near-vision area according to the convergence of the eyes when looking at a nearby object. Inset is optimized to varying degrees, depending on the level of product customization:
✓ Standard: Variable based only on the addition
✓ Custom: Variable that considers the addition, DNP, and mounting height.
✓ Individual: Variable based on the addition, prescription, and all position of wear (POW) variables.
With Variable Inset, wider fields of view are achieved at intermediate and near distances.
Optical optimisation

Optical Transfer Module (OTM) is a technology that enhances the optical performance of the Lens-Eye system using an advanced physiological model. It takes into account factors such as higher-order aberrations, eye movements and pupil size, providing a customized optimization that maximizes visual quality in any condition.
All this, from a different mathematical approach than the commonly used optimisation tools. These optimisation processes include:

The most optimized result in terms of optical performance in lenses is achieved by including individual values for each person in the OTM function.
In this case we obtain a maximum level of optical optimisation, improving the perceived sharpness at both foveal and parafoveal levels.

Intelligent Aberration Distribution is an astigmatism distribution optimization technology that positions distortion peaks as far away from the line of sight as possible, leaving the lower part of the lens free.
This intelligent design approach prioritizes the optical surface inside the frame, allowing geometric freedom outside the frame, providing wider viewing zones.

Thickness reduction
FreeMax is the technology that makes it possible to locally optimise any area of the lens, obtaining total control over its characteristics at the geometric level.
