The use of cookies complies with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Under this regulation, we must obtain a user’s explicit, prior, and informed consent before using non-essential cookies. This consent must be freely given, specific, and unambiguous, with the clear ability to accept or reject cookies, including specific categories.
Consent is managed via a cookie banner that allows users to actively select which cookie categories they wish to accept. No non-essential cookies are set until the user has given explicit consent. Users can modify or withdraw their consent at any time via the cookie settings available on our website.
The Cookie Policy is part of our Privacy Policy, which provides further information on the data we collect and use. If you have questions about the processing of your personal data, you may contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@indo.es.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are received on your device from the website you visit. They are used to record certain browsing interactions on a website, storing data that can be updated and retrieved. These files are stored on the user’s computer and contain anonymous data that is not harmful to your device. They are used to remember user preferences, such as the selected language, login details, or page customization.
Cookies can also be used to record anonymous information about how a visitor uses a site. For example, which web page they accessed from, or whether they used a banner ad to get there.
Legal basis:
If you have given consent to the use of cookies based on a notice provided by us on the website (‘cookie banner’), the legality of data processing is governed by Article 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR. If you do not consent to non-essentials cookies, we rely on strictly necessary cookies to operate the site.
How do we use the different types of cookies?
According to their purpose:
- Technical cookies: Technical cookies facilitate user navigation and the use of the different options or services offered by the website, such as identifying the session, allowing access to certain areas, facilitating orders, purchases, form completion, registrations, security, and facilitating functionalities (videos, social networks, etc.).
- Personalisation cookies: Personalization cookies allow the user to access services according to their preferences (language, browser, settings, etc.).
- Performance/analytical cookies: Performance/Analytical cookies are those used to carry out anonymous analysis of the web user’s behaviour and enable measuring the user’s activity, which allows drawing browsing profiles with the aim of improving the website.
- Marketing/advertising cookies: Used to measure and optimize campaigns and may be used for advertising personalization.
According to their duration:
- Session cookies: Session cookies are those that last as long as the user is browsing the website and are deleted when the browser is closed.
- Persistent cookies: These cookies remain stored on the user’s device until they are manually deleted, or the duration period established for each cookie has expired.
According to their ownership:
- First-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s device from a server or domain managed by the website owner and used to provide the service requested by the user.
- Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s device from a server or domain not managed by the website owner, but by another entity that processes data obtained through the cookies (e.g., Google Analytics, YouTube, Cloudflare). These cookies may involve data transfers to third countries. In such cases, appropriate safeguards are applied, such as Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and IP anonymization, where technically feasible.
Data retention:
- Strictly necessary cookies: Retained as long as required for the site’s operation or security
- Analytical and personalization cookies: Retained for the period specified for each cookie, typically from a few months up to two years, with periodic reviews.
- We conduct regular reviews to minimize retention.
